Special Girls’ Generation Album to be Released in January

Girls’ Generation & SM entertainment have been unleashing a flurry of Soshi products this holiday season. In addition to their Maxi-Single release on December 20th, Girls’ Generation will be adding a special North American version of “The Boys” album that will hit store shelves in the new year.

The album, which will be released on January 17th, will share the same name of it’s title track, and will include all the mixes from the Maxi Single. The difference between this album and the December release will be the addition of a selection of Korean songs from their recent third full Korean studio album, “The Boys”. The particular songs have not been named, but these additions should be an exciting prospect for North American SONEs who will be able to purchase a copy at local music retailers.

Interscope and Girls’ Generation partnered up in mid-October for these US releases. The Maxi-single will feature special DJ remixes from Clinton Sparks, and Disco Fries, as well as special musical appearances by rap legend and fellow US label mate Snoop Dogg & up-and-coming MC Lil’ Playy.
